Privacy Policy
Motion Art Space (“Motion Art Space”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”).
This policy applies to motionartspace.com, our booking system at booking.motionartspace.com, and our communications with you (including by email and WhatsApp) and through our social media advertising.
1. Who we are
Motion Art Space provides motion art / paint experiences, events, and related products in Singapore.
- Contact: [email protected]
- Website: https://motionartspace.com
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at the email above. This is also our designated contact for data protection matters under the PDPA.
2. What personal data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Booking and account information — your name, email address, phone number, and details of the sessions, events, or gift cards you book or purchase.
- Payment information — payments are processed by our third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers; we receive limited transaction details (such as confirmation and the last digits of a card) from our payment provider.
- Communications — messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, contact form, or social media, and our replies. If you contact us or opt in via WhatsApp, we collect your WhatsApp phone number and message content in order to respond.
- Website and advertising data — information collected automatically when you visit our site, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and actions taken. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and analytics tools (see Section 6).
- Marketing preferences — your consent choices and whether you have opted in or out of marketing communications.
3. How we use your personal data
We use your personal data to:
- Process and manage your bookings, events, gift cards, and payments;
- Communicate with you about your booking, including reminders and updates by email or WhatsApp;
- Provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and services;
- Measure and improve our marketing, including showing you relevant ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and other platforms;
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We rely on your consent (and, where applicable, deemed consent under the PDPA) and on our legitimate business interests in operating and promoting our services.
4. How we share your personal data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate — including our booking platform, payment processors, hosting provider, email and messaging providers (including WhatsApp / Meta Platforms), and analytics providers — who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
- Advertising and analytics platforms — including Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram) and Google — to measure and optimise our advertising. Where data is transferred into our data warehouse (Google BigQuery) for analytics, it is used only for our own reporting and measurement.
- Authorities or third parties where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.
Some of these providers are located outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
5. WhatsApp and social media
If you message us on WhatsApp or opt in to receive WhatsApp messages from us, we use your phone number and the content of your messages to respond to you and to send you booking-related or marketing messages you have agreed to receive. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or by contacting us at [email protected].
When you interact with our pages or ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), your data is also handled under Meta’s own privacy policy.
6. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel and analytics tools, to understand how visitors use our site and to deliver and measure advertising. These tools may collect information such as the pages you visit and actions you take, and may set cookies on your device.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the site.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to fulfil bookings, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Under the PDPA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- Withdraw consent to our use of your personal data (including marketing) at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time. Withdrawing consent may mean we are unable to provide certain services to you.
9. How to request deletion of your data
You can request that we delete the personal data we hold about you. To do so, email [email protected] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”, and include the name, email address, and/or phone number you used with us so we can locate your records.
We will verify your request and delete your personal data, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it (for example, for accounting or legal records). We will confirm once your request has been completed.
If you connected to us or our app through Facebook or Instagram and wish to have associated data removed, the same email process applies.
10. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data without parental consent. Bookings for minors should be made by a parent or guardian.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page.
